ASU Fingerprint Research

Post by josher89 »

I'm just passing this on; I haven't had time to take a look at it yet.
Dear collaborators, colleagues and friends,

I am contacting you because I would like to invite you to participate in an online study.

The study is focusing on how forensic examiners learn and complete matching tasks.

In the study, you will be asked to complete a matching task, then two brief information modules each followed by another matching task. The ten participants with the most accurate average performance across all three tasks will receive a $500 VISA gift-card each.

The study is being run through the School of Social and Behavioral Sciences at Arizona State University and has been approved by the IRB panel (#13609).

We are seeking any and all participants who are willing to volunteer approximately 45 minutes of their time to complete an online questionnaire, but are particularly interested in recruiting practising fingerprint examiners and trainees. Anybody willing to participate will be gratefully accepted as participants, but we would strongly appreciate you passing this on to any professional fingerprint examiners that you know.

This study will be available for a limited time only and will not be available after 30-06-2021. So, if you have any interest at all in participating, please do so at your earliest convenience.

The study can be accessed via this link: https://asu.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/ ... izB1EjAMLk

If you would like to I would also really appreciate it if you could please forward this email through your professional networks. The more people I can make aware of the study within the short timeframe, the better the quality of the data will be.

Please remember that your decision whether or not to participate is entirely voluntary and will not influence your relationship with ASU in any way.

Thank you so much for your time.

Feel free to contact me directly if you have any questions about the study.

Kind regards,

Dr. Bethany Growns.
