As most readers of this forum will know, Dr. Simon Cole has been one of the foremost critics of fingerprint identification since the Daubert hearing in the Byron Mitchell case in 1999. I am looking forward to debating Dr. Simon Cole in a formal debate setting for the New England Division conference in November. Two forensic science professors from a nearby university forensic science program will moderate and some format of questions and answers from the audience is anticipated. I know some of the other speakers at the NEDIAI conference will be top-notch, also. If you can't go the the IAI in Dallas, check out this conference as an excellent alternative.

Several people have contacted me about the New England Division IAI Conference program not being available yet on the NEDIAI website.

I apologize for the delay, the conference program is now posted at
