DNA McKie Case

Post by EmmaC »

Could they not get a DNA sample from the fingerprint left? Surely that would clear up the issue once and for all?

I think most Solicitors would advise Ms Mckie not to provide her DNA. And what is the likely hood that everyone will accept the findings of the DNA, when many will not accept the findings of the fingerprint evidence, which ever side of the fence you sit. It is still the same Police providing the evidence.

I personally would like to see on a web site, the evidence that Mr Swann saw. Is it likely we will ever see the rolled impression he talked about.

People talk about the quality of the images on the internet well I for one have made idents and non-idents on far poorer quality images than those presented there.

So until I see something, it is all just hot air. Lets see some visual facts.

DNA McKie Case

Although I am not a DNA expert, it would seem that due to Shirley McKie's probable access & proximity to the evidence in preparation of her defense in her perjury trial, any DNA testing at this point (if even possible) would likely be deemed unreliable.
