Do you use Individualization versus Identification?

Which term is being used in reports? Is the field going to use individualization exclusively one day?
What are the thoughts out there?

Based on what I've been reading here in the past couple of years, I have been using "individualization" in my reports. However, the phrasing seems akward. " I identified the source of the impression as... vs I individualized the source of the impression as..."
