MS Thesis - AFIS/crime rates

Hello to all,
I have been out of the loop lately and have become fully immersed in my graduate program at UC Davis. I will starting my thesis pretty soon, and wanted to give everyone a heads up. If anyone has a special interest in the topic and would like to be included in this project (either in an official capacity as a thesis advisor, or informally), please email me.

My topic is an assessment of how AFIS has affected the crime rates in the 10 largest cities in America: specifically fingerprint evidence from 459s. I will also address prosecution rates, and recidivism of convicted burglers, if time allows.

Any thoughts, comments or suggestions are greatly appreciated! Still in the proposal stages...
