One step cyanoacrylate/dye stain technique

I recall reading about this process, but now cannot recall the source. I see that David Weaver is presenting a lecture on the topic at this years conference. We would like to have some research performed on this topic by an intern we have for the summer. Any help in locating articles or even any work you may have done and not published would be greatly appreciated!

Just a cautionary note...

Don't mix basic yellow 40 dye powder with your superglue direct.
We had to evacuate our lab after one of our lab tech's thought this might be a good time-saving measure.

Hi Connie,

I am a Latent Print Examiner with the Seattle Police Dept. (soon to be returning to my homeland, England after 9 years, to my old job back at the Derbyshire Constabulary).
I had the privilege to help a very clever young girl by the name of Avery Smith (a.k.a. “Superglue Girl”) attend the 2007 IAI International Conference in San Diego and present her work on a one-step cyanoacrylate fuming process using colored dyes. Thanks to all who replied to my query. I do appreciate your pointers and suggestions....especially the heads-up regarding the Basic Yellow incident!
